Covid-19 forced Lisa + Carli to postpone their full wedding, but they still wanted to be married on their original wedding day. A beautiful lakeside setting was the perfect location for their simple lesbian wedding elopement.
A wedding doesn’t need to be all glitz and glammer. For Lisa + Carli their elopement was a simple ceremony beside a lake in Whistler. A beautiful sunny day with only their immediate families present was the perfect lesbian wedding elopement.
While Covid-19 completely derailed their initial plans for a big wedding, it did open up some options that might not have been possible pre-Covid. Lisa and Carli were able to cut their guest list down to just immediate family. Their most important people rented a chalet over looking the mountain and were able to safely have a small private family dinner after the ceremony.
Lisa + Carli’s wedding dresses were also delayed due to shipping and were not going to arrive in time. They also turned this bad news into a positive experience and went shopping for suits! After searching all over town, they happened to find the Sandro collection at The Bay. A mannequin dressed in matching white pants and blazer with a black blouse underneath was striking and was exactly what Lisa and Carli had been searching for. With a little bit of luck, the store had both of their sizes in stock.
The white suits made the perfect contrast to the water of Green Lake. Surrounded by 12 of their immediate family members, Lisa and Carli said their vows with views of the mountains behind. Their lesbian wedding elopement was private, beautiful and perfect for their chill vibes.
Lisa + Carli wrote an amazing testimonial of their experience that you can read at the end of the blog!
Testimonial from Lisa + Carli
“Our experience was fantastic from the very first email. Steve got back to us right away and was enthusiastic, bouncing ideas off of us and making sure everything that we wanted was on his list. He offered to drive us around Whistler for a few hours to show us some key elopement spots – which found us spots we would never have known about or found ourselves! He was so friendly and fun, we felt like we had known him for years. He made us feel comfortable and excited, and that we had nothing to worry about. Tara and Steve showed up on the day early to save us the spot (which was a popular beach hangout!) so when we got there, the spot was open and ready for us. Steve did a beautiful reading for the ceremony, which was perfectly orchestrated to us as a couple – and wrapped into nature which was the cherry on top. Tara was also very lovely to us, and took AMAZING photos – she captured the whole ceremony/day with such elegance. Overall, we had such a great experience from beginning to end – we would recommend the whole team to anyone thinking of eloping in Whistler! Carli and I are both so humbled and happy with the entire event.“
